We have not encountered a practice that would not operate in English, particularly if necessary output was in a language other than English. (see above).

FirstDataBank is updated monthly from the Supplier.

Since FHNs and FHGs are comprised of individual business entities but are considered a unit by OFHN and OHIP this creates some complex issues. By having each location a free standing system and providing access by the covering physician through remote access capabilities of each system.

Describe the recommended bandwidth requirements required to run your solution for the following scenarios: Configuration 1; Configuration 2; ASP Requirements. Requirements should be broken down by upload bandwidth/user and download bandwidth/user.

As a local solution provider, we recommend a bandwidth of 3Mbps download and 1Mbps Upload.

Do you provide remote server management capabilities? Please list functions provided.

Servers can be accessed remotely thru VPN using Terminal Services. With this functionality, all administrative functions can be performed with the exception of hardware replacement.

Describe how system data is recovered after a system (hard drive) failure. E.g. to the point of failure, last backup, or other.

Using the RAID System, data loss would only occur if more than one drive failed simultaneously. Clients would purchase additional hot swap drives in case of drive failure to ensure that the array returns to optimal operation quickly.

Without RAID or Mirror protection a restore would be initiated from the last tape backup.

Do you provide tools to manage the availability of EMR systems? Describe functions.

Within CIS the ability to maintain and repair the database structure exists. This could be initiated at regular intervals for optimal efficiency and to minimize downtime.

Do you provide real-time server monitoring with alerts sent to yourselves or to clients?

Major messages can be sent by the Windows 2000/2003/2008 server to administrators using the messaging system built in.
