Mangement and Audit Logging is contained within the Globe Med application. Application Backups can be accomplished on demand; Backups can also be scheduled by date or frequency.

What other software products do you advise physicians to implement?

Drug Interaction, Real Time Health Card Validation and Voice Recognition software (optional)

What other software products are compatible with your EMR (e.g. Office suites, accounting, research, analysis, etc.)?

Integration services provided on a time and material basis as required for other applications as required.

The Multicultural team at Alpha matches the diversity of the Ontario population allowing for ease of verbal communication. Globe Med is currently provided in English

GlobeMedprovides only English Language interface and reports. As Alpha does not directly provide patient services, the health professionals may offer multilingual handouts and instrcution materials directly to patients.

GlobeMedprovides only English Language interface and reports. Alpha works directly with each practice to meet the specific languange needs of the physician and practice staff.

What is the name of the data supplier to support prescription writing and drug interactions?

Globe Med uses First DataBank IDDF (International Drug Data Files) to write prescriptions and interactions.

What is the frequency of updates to the data provided to your clients?

Drug formulary data and interactions are updated monthly

Various methods used depending on the requirements and set up of each practice.

Our EMR application is designed to code as many data elements as possible so that the data can be easily searched.

Some of the coded data elements proprietary and site specific where as others such as Province, Provider Specialty, OHIP service codes, Explanatory, etc. are from the MOHLTC's Technical Specifications Interface to Health Systems.
