As you are aware, OntarioMD is transitioning the functionality and management of active ONE® Mail Direct email accounts from OntarioMD.ca back to eHealth Ontario.
ONE Mail Direct is a service hosted by eHealth Ontario for health care organizations and providers requiring secure email accounts to facilitate the exchange of personal health information between ONE Mail users.
As each OntarioMD mailbox is transitioned to the one-mail.on.ca domain, it will be upgraded to the Exchange 2010 service. Please be advised your secure email will be set to conform to eHealth Ontario's standard of firstname.lastname@one-mail.on.ca.
How to access your email
Once all accounts are transitioned to one-mail.on.ca, you will no longer be able to access your email through OntarioMD.ca.
You will be able to access your email through Microsoft Outlook, with configuration as per eHealth Ontario's Desktop Software Guideor through the Outlook Web Application (OWA).
Next Steps
If you are an individual physician who has consented to the transition of your ONE Mail account to eHealth Ontario, eHealth Ontario will be the sponsor of your account. You will be assigned a new ONE mail account with the domain @one-mail.on.ca and will also be provided with a ONE® ID account. ONE ID provides the identity management and authentication for the ONE Mail service.
If you already have a ONE ID account, that account will be matched with your new ONE Mail Direct service.
